Metron Machining is a precision CNC manufacturer in Lakewood, Colorado, specializing in complex multi-axis and five-axis milling for aerospace, defense, space and energy programs. This role exists to keep the shop organized, supplied, and running smoothly over the weekend so machinists can stay focused on making parts instead of chasing tools, managing chips and coolant, or handling general shop upkeep.

You’ll own the hands‑on work that keeps weekend production flowing — tool crib and material support, shop cleaning, chip and coolant management, and general facility upkeep. It's steady, physical work with clear expectations, on a fixed weekend schedule.

• Organize and maintain the tool crib and shop supplies
• Stage materials and tooling for current and upcoming work
• Track basic consumables and alert the team when restocking is needed
• Clean machines and work areas, including chip and coolant management and basic coolant top-off
• Break down, move, or build shelving and storage as needed
• Perform basic facility tasks such as lights, cameras, and minor fixes
• Support shop organization and 5S efforts
• Handle general material movement and other hands‑on tasks needed to keep weekend production running

Required

• Comfortable with hands‑on, physical work and general labor
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Dependable, with reliable weekend attendance
• Comfortable working steadily with clear expectations and minimal supervision
• U.S. Person status as required under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)); proof of eligibility required at time of hire
• Ability to successfully complete a background check

Pay: $16–$18/hour, based on experience and demonstrated reliability, paid bi-weekly in accordance with company payroll practices.

Schedule: Part-time, non-exempt hourly. Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., approximately 25 scheduled hours per week. Weekend availability and reliable attendance are essential to this role.

Benefits: This part-time position is eligible for Colorado paid sick leave in accordance with applicable law and company policy. No other company-sponsored benefits are offered for this position.
