About

the Role

The Vegetative Specialist supports the early stages of the cultivation lifecycle by maintaining healthy clones, mother plants, and vegetative plants while ensuring cultivation activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards.

Working closely with the Vegetative Lead and Cultivation team, this role supports plant propagation, transplanting, irrigation, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), facility maintenance, and production recordkeeping. This hands-on position plays a critical role in maintaining the health, consistency, and quality of Green Dot Labs' proprietary genetics.

Responsibilities
  • Support all stages of vegetative cultivation, including propagation, cloning, transplanting, pruning, feeding, and general plant care
  • Maintain propagation, mother plant, and transplant schedules to support production timelines
  • Monitor plant health and communicate concerns related to plant condition, growth, or environmental issues
  • Execute Integrated Pest Management (IPM) activities according to established procedures
Production & Operational Support
  • Maintain accurate production logs, cultivation records, and maintenance documentation
  • Cross-train and provide operational support across cultivation departments and regional cultivation facilities as needed
  • Support facility maintenance activities, including irrigation, HVAC, plumbing, and general cultivation infrastructure projects
  • Assist with opening and closing operational procedures as assigned
Compliance & Quality
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant cultivation rooms, work spaces, and storage areas
  • Assist with sanitation, waste handling, and destruction of plant waste in accordance with operational procedures
  • Utilize Metrc and other cultivation systems in accordance with company procedures
  • Follow all state regulations and internal compliance procedures
  • Attend required safety, compliance, and cultivation training
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior cannabis cultivation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with agricultural, greenhouse, or horticultural practices preferred
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all required state-issued cannabis industry credentials applicable to the position and work location
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to plant health and product quality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced cultivation environment
  • Ability to identify plant health concerns and equipment issues
  • Reliable transportation required
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements

This role is primarily onsite in Denver, CO and requires regular work within indoor cannabis cultivation environments. The position typically involves a 32–40-hour workweek, including weekends, based on operational needs.

The role requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Employees must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work safely around cannabis plants, humidity, irrigation systems, cultivation equipment, and agricultural materials. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, eye protection, and other required safety gear, must be worn as required.
