Development Officer – Most Precious Blood Catholic Parish (Denver, CO, US)
Job DescriptionMost Precious Blood Catholic Church is seeking a Part‑Time Development Officer to support Parish fundraising through consistent donor outreach, strong stewardship, and direct solicitation. The ideal candidate is comfortable making donor asks (in person and by phone). Build practical systems and represent the mission of the Church within the life of the Archdiocese of Denver.
Core Responsibilities- Donor Stewardship & Gratitude
- Write and coordinate timely thank‑you notes and other donor acknowledgments.
- Strengthen donor retention through consistent, personal follow‑up.
- Build a Donor Contact System (CRM)
- Establish and maintain a CRM (or comparable tracking system) for donor records, touch points, tasks, and follow‑ups.
- Create a repeatable cadence for outreach calls, notes, emails, meetings, and pastoral touch points.
- Solicitation & Relationship – Building
- Conduct donor calls and meetings and direct asks.
- With and without the Pastor.
- In person and over the phone.
- Help identify next‑step prospects and coordinate visits, schedules, and follow‑ups.
- Mission Communication
- Clearly articulate the mission of the Catholic Church and the Parish’s fundraising priorities.
- Especially within the Archdiocese of Denver context.
