Reports to: Senior Program Manager

Supervises: Program support fellows and interns

Primary Objective: Support the delivery and growth of Youth Roots’ youth leadership development programming by ensuring young people have well-supported, meaningful opportunities to build leadership, analyze community needs, and participate in youth-led action. This role manages day-to-day program implementation, partner and participant coordination, and the systems needed to support consistent, high-quality programming.

We equip young people to lead and influence decisions that impact their lives through initiatives like Youth Scan, youth-led grantmaking, and leadership development. By centering youth as knowledge holders and changemakers, Youth Roots bridges lived experience with decision-making to drive more equitable and impactful communities.

This is a full-time exempt position.

Start Date: August 18th, 2026

Core Responsibilities Program Delivery & Implementation
  • Develop and maintain program work plans, timelines, and delivery schedules across leadership.
  • Facilitate or coordinate delivery of programs, including Youth Insight Labs, Youth Board, and related youth leadership opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate facilitators (internal or partner-based) to support consistent, effective, and responsible program delivery.
  • Ensure programs are delivered consistently, aligned with Youth Roots’ model and expectations, and support safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environments for youth participants.
  • Support and coordinate partner-led and facilitator-based program delivery models, including ongoing implementation and development of training-of-trainer approaches.
  • Identify, document, and elevate concerns or incidents that may affect participant safety, program quality, partner relationships, or organizational risk.
Participant & Partner Engagement
  • Coordinate youth recruitment and onboarding processes across leadership development programs, including partner-based program delivery models.
  • Maintain clear communication with youth participants and program partners to support engagement, participation, and follow-through.
  • Develop and manage relationships with program partners and stakeholders, including foundations, community organizations, and partner sites involved in youth leadership development programming.
  • Ensure participants and partners receive timely information, clear expectations, and appropriate support throughout program engagement.
Program Administration, Evaluation & Reporting
  • Maintain and strengthen program systems, tools, templates, and documentation needed to support consistent leadership development programming, including facilitator-based and partner-led delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation, attendance, engagement, activities, and evaluation information.
  • Track progress toward program goals, deliverables, timelines, and funding commitments to support internal planning, accountability, and grant compliance.
