About Philanthropy at Care SynergyPhilanthropy plays an important role in supporting Care Synergy's mission and the work of its Affiliates. The organization maintains a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, grants, corporate and foundation support, stewardship, and special events.
Care Synergy has built a strong foundation of philanthropic support through the generosity of grateful patients, families, and community members. Today, the organization maintains a donor and prospect base of more than 20,000 constituents and generates approximately $2 million annually in philanthropic revenue.
Care Synergy's philanthropy program is structured as a centralized enterprise function serving its Affiliates. This model brings fundraising leadership together to support enterprise-wide priorities while partnering closely with each Affiliate to advance its philanthropic goals. With a donor and prospect base of more than 20,000 constituents and approximately $2 million in annual philanthropic revenue, the organization is well positioned to strengthen donor engagement and expand philanthropic support over time.
Aboutthe Position
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced fundraising executive to lead philanthropy across a growing nonprofit healthcare network. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) will serve as the senior fundraising leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive enterprise-wide philanthropy strategy that supports Care Synergy's mission and strategic priorities.
The Chief Philanthropy Officer will oversee all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, grants, stewardship, special events, and fundraising operations. Working closely with the CEO, Affiliate leadership, and volunteer boards, the CPO will strengthen philanthropic engagement across the enterprise while cultivating relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners.
The successful candidate will lead a philanthropy team that currently includes a Donor Database Manager and Development Specialist while strengthening fundraising systems, donor engagement strategies, and operational processes. This individual will build upon an established fundraising program and help position Care Synergy for continued philanthropic growth across its family of Affiliates.
This position is based in Denver, Colorado. Care Synergy values in-person collaboration and maintains an office-based culture while offering flexibility as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise-wide philanthropy strategy aligned with organizational priorities and annual fundraising goals.
- Build upon an established fundraising program to strengthen philanthropic support across Care Synergy and its Affiliates.
- Identify new opportunities to engage individuals, corporations, foundations, and community partners in support of the organization's mission.
- Establish fundraising metrics and monitor progress toward revenue goals.
- Lead capital initiatives, planned giving efforts, and special fundraising initiatives that support long-term organizational priorities.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, planned giving prospects, corporate partners, and foundation funders.
- Develop meaningful donor engagement strategies that strengthen long-term philanthropic relationships.
- Partner with the CEO, Affiliate leadership, and volunteer boards on high-level donor cultivation and solicitation activities.
