Colorado Senate Campaign Fund Finance Project Director

Salary: $21/hr no more than 20 hours per week requiring advance written approval for more hours

Reporting to and directed by the DSCF Executive Director, the Finance Project Director will support DSCF's fundraising program by raising money for DSCF, conducting staff call time, managing and developing donor lists, conducting donor research, preparing fundraising materials, and coordinating Democratic Senators, candidates, and staff participating in fundraising on behalf of DSCF.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:
- Work with Party leadership and staff to write and implement ongoing finance plans to meet the Coordinated Campaign and State Party budgets
- Raise money for the DSCF
- Supervise and coach candidates, Senators, and candidate staff to meet fundraising goals
- Coordinate and maintain call time schedules for candidates, Senators, and staff participating in DSCF fundraising
- Maintain DSCF call-time materials and follow-up systems
- Plan, manage, and recruit for small and large fundraising events
- Plan, manage, and track goal-oriented data for the call-time and digital fundraising programs
- Create fundraising materials
- Ensure database integrity for donor correspondence and reporting
- Help ensure the DSCF remains compliant with all state and federal campaign finance laws
- Other duties as assigned, with flexibility to meet the needs of the organization
- Minimum of two years of related fundraising experience with a state or national committee, political campaign, or nonprofit organization
- Clear understanding of campaign finance laws sufficient to guide planning and staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through
- Ability and willingness to work long, irregular hours, including in-state and out-of-state travel
- Experience with small, mid-size, and large event and project planning
- Existing relationships with Colorado donors a plus
- Experience running successful email fundraising programs a plus
- Ability to work in person in the office and on video calls, and reliable access to transportation
