HOW YOU WILL SUPPORT THE BIAC MISSION:

The Director of Development is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with current and prospective donors, developing and executing an annual fundraising plan, developing and executing a planned giving program, executing a communication strategy, and managing and running the organization’s special events. The Director of Development will be able to work well independently with input from the President/CEO and will have creative latitude in areas such as special events management, curating major gifts, individual giving campaigns, the strategic annual fundraising plan, planned giving program, and implementation of Strategic Plan objectives.

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and manage fundraising activities for individual giving, grants, sponsor ships, cultivate major donors, planned giving programs, special events and others.

Special Events Management

Coordinate, manage, attend, and oversee all BIAC special events.

Organize and execute existing special events each year including the Brain Injury Conference and Cathleen’s Cause golf tournament.

In coordination with the President/CEO create and launch an annual gala.

Manage all special events logistics including, but not limited to venues, food and beverage, contractor and staff coordination, silent auction items, and permits.

Annual Individual Giving

Lead all fundraising efforts including:

Manage the end of year fundraising campaign, Colorado Gives Day, Giving Tuesday

Brain Injury Awareness Month - Develop and lead all BI Awareness Month communications.

Grants

Engage as the point of contact for BIAC’s grant consultant providing relevant information and updates from appropriate staff members to grant consultants in a timely manner.

Sponsor ships

Research, prospect, and solicit new donors and sponsors from various sources.

Resource Directory

Recruit new partners to the Resource Directory and manage annual renewals.

Develop and implement a strategic annual fundraising plan and fundraising calendar

Develop a strategic fundraising plan and associated budget on an annual basis with the President/CEO as needed.

In coordination with the CEO/President cultivate relationships with current and first-time donors/sponsors and oversee all stewardship activities for the organization.

Sponsorship benefits, cultivation, and recognition:
Work with President/CEO to fulfill recognition and sponsorship benefits in a timely manner according to underwriting agreement between sponsor and BIAC. Stewardship:
Oversee ongoing stewardship communications. Data Entry, Collection, Reporting and Evaluation:
Ensure records, reports, and promotional material collection for all fundraising activities are timely, complete, and accurate.

Coordinate with Program Managers to collect survivor and caregiver stories as needed, ensure permission for use and coordinate the collection of photos from all programs and events.

Upload award letters and related documents to the opportunity ensuring efficiency for BIAC’s annual audit.

Oversee donor database(s) to plan, track, and analyze results of development efforts

Utilize Salesforce for grants, sponsor ships, large donations, event registrations, and reporting

Update, track, and analyze results from fundraising tools and database(s).

Grants:
