Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 4-10hr shifts/week, working 7:30am-6pm. This position will rotate weekends and holidays with other staff members.

Impact

The IVF Nurse Coordinator (RN) plays a crucial role in the fertility treatment process and will make a significant impact through patient care, support, assessment, education, and counseling. They provide comprehensive care, support, and coordination throughout the IVF journey, helping patients navigate the complexities of fertility treatments while striving for the best possible outcomes.

What You Will Do
  • Provide individualized nursing care to CCRM’s fertility patients through treatment coordination, medication management, patient advocacy, and outcome monitoring.
  • Collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient care and treatment; consult with patients regarding treatment protocols, medications, and required testing procedures.
  • Function independently and in a team environment; report to the IVF Nurse Supervisor.
  • Assess patients  medical histories, reproductive health, and underlying conditions; ensure data is entered in EMR.
  • Educate patients on IVF processes, medications, side effects, and lifestyle factors affecting success.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling throughout the patient journey.
  • Guide patients on self-administration of medications and monitor progress; adjust dosages as needed and communicate concerns to the medical team.
  • Coordinate and schedule surgery and ART appointments, diagnostics, and procedures; ensure consents are signed and timelines followed.
  • Monitor pregnancies via ultrasonography and lab tests through the first 8-12 weeks (annotated in EMR).
  • Liaise between patients and the medical team, relay test results, treatment instructions, and answer questions promptly.
  • Advocate for patients, considering their needs and helping with informed decisions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR (medication administration, test results, progress notes, orders, etc.).
  • Discuss results, reasons for potential failure, and explore alternatives or modifications to the plan.
  • Perform intrauterine inseminations as directed.
  • Verify all communicable disease testing is complete, accurate, and appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (required).
  • Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license (without limitations) (required).
  • Active BCLS/ACLS certification (required).
  • 3+ years RN experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of previous experience in women’s health, fertility, OB/GYN, preferred.
