The Wound Care Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients; participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Qualifications- Education and Training:
Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides. Certification from an approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred. Current BLS certification required. - Experience:
Two years direct patient care experience required. Experience in wound care preferred.
