TheORnursenavigatorhelppatients navigate their way to quality andtimelycare while explaining and responding to questions related to the treatment process.

TheORnurse navigatorliaisons with scheduling, the OR, the inpatient units/providers, the surgeons, the surgeons offices, and the patients.

The OR nurse navigatorwillbe responsible for contacting orthopedic and spine patients prior to surgeryto provide education,increasing quality outcomes,and patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Contactsall orthopedic and spinepatients prior to surgery.
• Leads multiple weekly classes in-person and on-line for orthopedic and spinepatients to attend.
  
  Collaborates with IPS providers toeducate patients about requirements/expectations for surgery.
• Maintains good working relationships with surgeon offices tofacilitatetransmission and reinforcement of surgeon-specificpostoperative instructions to patients.
• Rounds on patients postoperativelyto address questions/concerns.
• Assistsin retrievingand improving quality metric data.
• Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BSN Required
• Two to four yearspre-op/PACU/surgical/proceduralnursing experience is desirable.
  
  Strong experience in patient education is preferred.
