The Registered Nurse (RN) provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, administering treatment, and evaluating patient response to care in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan
- Performs initial intake assessment of new patients and discharge reconciliation and education
- Places, receives, and completes provider orders per ERCP policy
- Administers medications via multiple routes in accordance with ERCP policy and provider orders
- Performs phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point of care testing in accordance with ERCP policy and laboratory vendor protocols
- Places/maintains nasogastric tubes and administers enteral feeding
- Places/maintains intravenous access and administers intravenous fluids
- Performs wound care
- Documents all direct patient care, monitoring, and observation in the electronic medical record
- Supervises and delegates care to Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians
- Communicates and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patient
- Ensures care provided aligns with the individualized treatment plan and patient outcome goals
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings regarding patient progress toward treatment goals and planning for continued or changing clinical interventions
- Documents and reports to treatment team regarding patient status and progress
- Participates in training, teaching, and mentoring new nursing department teammates
- Responds to emergency situations until emergency medical services (EMS/911) arrive on scene
- Active Registered Nurse License in the state of employment (Required)
- Basic Life Support certification (Required)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (Required)
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations (Required)
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (Required)
- Teammates working in a Colorado Residential Child Care facility (RCCF) must:
- be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, or
- be at least eighteen (18) years of age and work directly under the supervision of a teammate over twenty-one (21) years of age (Required)
- 1 year+ working with patients in the mental health field (Preferred)
Colorado pay range: $40 - $49 USD
