Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care Peds CVOR experience and open heart/cardiac surgery skills.

Job Details

• Pediatric cardiovascular OR unit within a children's hospital setting, operating out of 8 ORs with a staff of 25,

• Pediatric surgical patient population with procedures including cardiac/open heart surgery, orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, plastics, and more,

• 1:1 patient ratio,

• Uses Belmont Rapid Fusion equipment,

• EMR:
Meditech / CPN,

• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM; unit hours of operation 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM,

• Night shift covered by an on-call team,

• 13-week contract based in Denver, CO,

Job Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start),

• Current PALS certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Peds CVOR RN experience,

• Cardiac/open heart surgery experience required,

• US SSN and DOB required for consideration - no exceptions,

• One professional reference required,

• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing the operating room, assisting surgeons, monitoring vital signs, and providing pre- and post-operative care,

• Ability to function across multiple service lines is preferred,

• Unit is supported by service line leaders and a charge RN on day shift,

• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a patient-care-focused approach are highly valued,

• Previous permanent employment with HCA may affect eligibility
