Job Description
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing high-quality care to patients, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires the demonstration of critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for safe delivery of care. The Registered Nurse will maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and effectively delegate patient care tasks.
Additionally, this position will involve providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in planning care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Supervise assigned personnel in patient care delivery.
- Two to five years of clinical experience required.
- Must have current ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association).
- Vent/trach experience is required; knowledge of central lines and preferred wound care experience.
- Must possess a valid CO or multi-state compact RN license.
- Patient Ratios: 1:6.
