Position: Travel Radiation Oncology RN - $2,369 per week

    Job Details

  • Performs assessment of physical, social, and psychological status including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, patient, family, and physician to develop individualized plan of care.
  • Prepares patients for further support needs including teaching, referrals, and follow-up.
  • Directs interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
  • Provides or delegates care consistent with plan of care, guidelines, and professional licensure.
  • Sets priorities and coordinates patient care delivery effectively managing time, supplies, and resources.
  • Evaluates patient response to interventions and revises plan of care as needed.
  • Promotes nursing profession and participates in development of others.
  • Integrates legal and ethical standards into practice, complies with regulatory standards, practices within scope of licensure, and provides accurate and timely documentation.

    Job Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado; valid compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start of employment.
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of hire date.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required as of last update date; education must be from an accredited institution.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

    Schedule Information

  • Day shift, 10 hours per day.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Monday through Friday, no holidays or weekends.
  • Potential for some reduction in hours if needed for low census.

    Additional Details

  • Skills include patient care delivery, nursing fundamentals, interdisciplinary teams, documentation, professional etiquette, accountability, patient care coordination, communication, patient evaluation, and critical thinking.
  • Physical requirements include ability to see and read information, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, especially during emergencies.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision.
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients, bend to retrieve and carry supplies and equipment, and navigate crowded rooms.
  • May be required to stand for extended periods and drive vehicles as part of role.
