Registered Nurse - PRN

About the role

Advent Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive acute‑care nursing within our team, promoting the healing ministry of Christ. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.

Schedule: PRN

Shift: Day (United States of America)

Location: 2525 S Downing St, Denver, Colorado 80210

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

• Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Ability to work as a team player within a unit.
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in ECG interpretation based on patient documentation and Advanced Life Support requirements.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS) (required).
• Additional certifications preferred:
  Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS), Neonatal Med Certification, Pediatric ER Assess, Recog & Stabilization (PEARS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with OB/GYN Spec, Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention Program, Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Critical Care Registered Nurse – Tele‑ICU (CCRN‑E), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Oncology Nurse Society (ONS), Board Certified Pediatrics (BCP), Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN), Gerontological Nurse (GERO‑BC).

• Minimum 1 year in an acute‑care hospital setting (preferred).

Pay Range: $34.26 - $59.24
