Position Summary
National Jewish Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Center (MIDC), an outpatient endoscopy unit specializing in pulmonary and gastrointestinal procedures. This role offers a dynamic environment focused on teamwork, flexibility, and work/life balance.
ScheduleThe MIDC operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with no weekend or holiday shifts required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care in pre‑op, post‑op, and procedural settings.
- Circulate during endoscopic procedures to support physicians and ensure patient safety.
- Assist with motility testing and specialized diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered clinic.
- Contribute to a supportive environment emphasizing quality, communication, and continuous learning.
- Accurately plan and provide professional nursing care using a systematic nursing process.
- Collect and analyze pertinent data and information related to patient needs.
- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential problems and communicate concerns to the provider.
- Identify expected and/or desired outcomes and develop individualized plans of care that respect cultural, spiritual, intellectual, age, educational, and psychosocial differences.
- Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth and efficient workflows.
- Exercise independent judgment in applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Facilitate appropriate medical care, execute provider orders, and document care in the EMR.
- Provide patient education using methods and approaches tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain competence in the assigned area of practice.
- Participate in projects, activities, committees, and other nursing and health‑care initiatives.
- Engage in evidence‑based practice and research strategies to advance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
- Serve on the hospital’s Code Blue response team as needed.
- Execute additional job‑related duties as assigned.
- Act as a preceptor or Clinical House Supervisor as assigned.
- Oversee and guide the work of other nursing and support staff.
- Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Function as a preceptor or Clinical House Supervisor as assigned.
- Be available to work as scheduled and report to work on time.
- Show willingness to accept supervision and collaborate with others.
- Maintain appropriate grooming and wear visibly.

Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required, BSN preferred. - Work Experience:
None. - Special Training, Certification or Licensure:
Current Colorado RN license required; current BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS and PALS certifications required within 45 days of hire; certification in a relevant specialty preferred.
$34.00 - $48.62
