Position: Registered Nurse - Mother Baby / Postpartum
Job Description

Job Summary:

TRAVEL - RN - Postpartum (660) - HCA HealthONE Rose - 7P - 7A provides postpartum and mother-baby nursing care in a fast-paced, family-centered unit. The RN monitors patient status, supports newborn care, and collaborates with the care team to promote safe recovery and effective parent education.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor vital signs, assess postpartum and newborn progress, and escalate clinical concerns promptly.
• Administer medications and provide perineal care in accordance with evidence-based protocols.
• Support mother-baby bonding and educate parents on newborn safety, care, and health basics.
• Coordinate care with CNAs, nursery staff, and interdisciplinary providers to meet patient needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation using CPN/Meditech EMR systems and unit reporting practices.
• Deliver compassionate communication to families while supporting unit workflow and teamwork.
  
  Qualifications:
• Hold an active RN license and maintain compliance with all applicable licensure requirements.
• Possess at least 1 year of current acute care hospital Postpartum/M/B experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in BLS; NRP preferred.
• Support a 3-4:1 patient ratio environment by managing priorities efficiently.
• Show flexibility with schedule and readiness to adapt quickly to new situations.
• Communicate effectively with staff and providers in a collaborative mom/baby care setting.
