Travel RN - Mother Baby - Post Partum

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit in Denver, CO, requiring a minimum of 1 year of recent acute care Postpartum/Mother-Baby experience and current NRP certification.

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) — must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Current NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Postpartum/Mother-Baby experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Located on the 3rd floor (3 North) of the main hospital building in Denver, CO
• 23-bed Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit with approximately 80 staff members
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2–3 CNAs, 9–10 RNs on the floor, and 3–4 RNs in the nursery; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 9–10 RNs on the floor, and 2–3 RNs in the nursery
• Patient ratios of approximately 3–4:1
• EMR system:
  Meditech/CPN
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing perineal care, and educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
• Ideal candidates are compassionate, patient, team-oriented, and prioritize clear communication with staff and providers
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Flexibility with scheduling and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations is preferred
