Registered Nurse; RN - Dialysis | Denver LTACH

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the Dialysis Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the unit. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. The RN may also perform other related duties as assigned, including serving as Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Dialysis Nurses oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Direct and supervise care for patients admitted to the unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary and discharge planning.
• Teach patients and families about post-hospitalization care.
• Access community resources for patients.
• Oversee dialysis treatments for patients with kidney failure.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including charge nurse responsibilities (ACLS certification required).

• Registered Nurse license in the state you are applying.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification (required after 90 days; required from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Observation, and ICU roles).
• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) preferred but not required.
