RN-Registered Nurse // PCU - Progressive Care Unit Onsite Contract Starts 8/31/2026 13 weeks

• Night Shift 12 hours/day, 3 days/week (3x12)

• Pay package: approximately $2300 including a tax‑free stipend of $1785

• Number of beds: 30
• Staff: 65, including RNs and PCTs
• Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5–8 RNs, 2–4 PCTs
• Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5–8 nurses, 2–3 PCTs
• Patient ratio: 1:4, often 1:5
• Equipment:
  Tele, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, bipap, cpap, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, SCD pumps
• EMR:
  Meditech

• Minimum 1‑year current acute care PCU hospital experience
• BLS & ACLS certification

• Chest tube management and removal
• Pacer wire removal
• 12‑lead EKGs
• O₂ management up to BIPAP & heated high‑flow
• Drip management: heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine

• Post‑catheter care: right & left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations, Watchmans, pacemaker implantations, TR band management, neuro‑vascular checks
• Post‑thoracic surgery care: VATs/RATs, resections, lobectomies, chest tube management
• Pre‑ and post‑care of open‑heart surgical patients: CABGs, MVRs, AVRs, aortic dissection repairs, etc.
• Vascular surgery post‑operative care
