Registered Nurse (RN) | Mother Baby Position Overview
Provides specialized postpartum and mother-baby care in a hospital setting, supporting patient recovery, education, and safety.
Responsibilities- Monitor vital signs
- Administer medications
- Manage perineal care
- Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital postpartum/mother-baby experience
- BLS and NRP certifications preferred
- Compassionate, patient, adaptable, and effective communicator
23-bed postpartum unit, approximately 80 staff members, patient ratios of 3-4:1, equipped with EMR systems like Meditech and CPN.
Additional infoFocus on teamwork, flexibility, and technology familiarity; unit offers new equipment and experienced staff to support quality care.
