Number of Beds 23 beds Number of Staff approximately 80 staff members on mom/baby Type of staff:
Day Shift 1 charge, 2-3 CNAs, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 3-4 RNs in the nursery Night Shift 1 charge, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery Patient Ratios 3 or 4:1
-Estimated ratios, not guaranteed Type of equipment main computer system-CPN EMR
- Meditech / CPN Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Postpartum/M/B experience BLS & NRP Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Experience in a Mother/Baby Unit Flexibility with their schedule Ability to adapt quickly to new situations List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Monitoring Vital signs and administering medications and managing perineal care Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding Best personality Fit:
Compassionate, patient and a team player Communication with staff and providers is a priority Unit Guidelines/ feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc.
