• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS & NRP Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting
• Other requirements to be determined by client facility

The Postpartum / Mother-baby nurse (RN) educates, assists, and supports new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the post‑partum period, while caring for infants and providing education on newborn care.

• Responsible for caring for both mothers and their newborns after delivery.
• Monitor post‑delivery recovery, recognize postpartum depression, and teach new moms to address emotions.
• Educate new parents on newborn care, including bathing, breastfeeding, bottle‑feeding, and health monitoring.
