Advanced Practice Nurse - PRN, Oncall

Role: Provides advanced professional nursing care, including independent and delegated medical functions, across various specialties such as Emergency Room, Cardiology, Neurology, and more.
Responsibilities

• Collects medical history, performs physical exams, and reviews lab/radiologic studies to assess patient conditions.
• Develops accurate diagnoses and formulates treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, including medication and testing orders.
• Performs procedures within expertise and organizational policies, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Educates and counsels patients and families on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion, emphasizing culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.
• Documents all clinical activities thoroughly and manages telehealth encounters when appropriate.
• Acts in emergency situations, manages administrative tasks, and adheres to universal precautions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team, maintains professional competence, and participates in quality assurance and mentoring activities.

• Master s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado APN Prescriptive Authority Certification or provisional, Advanced Practice Nurse Registration, and RN License.
• National Provider Identifier and BLS certification required; DEA registration needed at hire.
• Preferred: ACLS certification and experience in oncology; procedural sedation competency within 90 days.
