Description:
The emergency department consists of 32 beds with a staff of 60. The unit operates with a diverse team including charge RNs, RNs, and EMT/Medics across various shifts. Patient ratios depend on acuity assignments, typically 1:4, with some areas having a 1:6 ratio. Equipment used includes Zoll Lifepaks, GE monitors, Stryker stretchers, and Mobilab. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Common procedures performed include triage, assessment, conscious sedation, and splinting. Candidates with experience using Meditech will be given preference. The ideal candidate is flexible, professional, and able to work collaboratively within a team. Strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude are essential. This unit offers opportunities to work with new equipment and technology. Staff tenure and experience contribute to a supportive work environment.
