Travel RN BMT Oncology
TRAVEL – RN – BMT Oncology (701) – CBCI – 7A – 5:30P – VENDOR is a registered nurse role providing inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and oncology care in a fast-paced med surg/tele setting. The RN will manage patient assignments with a focus on chemotherapy administration, central line care, and safe treatment delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy according to established protocols and patient-specific orders.
- Perform central line draws and support ongoing vascular access care.
- Monitor patients for treatment-related complications and promptly escalate concerns.
- Deliver bedside assessment, medication administration, and coordinated nursing care using Meditech and Onco.
- Utilize Baxter IV pumps and ICU medical chemo adapters to support accurate infusion delivery.
- Maintain documentation and communicate effectively with the care team to support continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active RN license and meet all requirements for travel assignment eligibility.
- Possess at least 1 year of current BMT Oncology hospital acute care experience.
- Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Hold or be eligible for ONS certification (preferred).
- Demonstrate BMT/Hem Onc experience with familiarity in oncology care workflows.
- Provide a warm, outgoing patient-focused approach and strong communication skills.
