Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Telemetry Nurse Opportunity

Provides specialized nursing care to telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through assessment, planning, and intervention. Responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate care in compliance with hospital policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously, utilizing telemetry monitors and clinical judgment.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and promote positive outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing airway devices, ostomies, and tracheostomies, while adhering to unit policies.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of recent acute care hospital telemetry experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficient in using Philips monitors, Alaris pumps, dopplers, Welch Allyn VS machines, and glucometers.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, capable of managing complex patient conditions such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, DKA, and PNA.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering compassionate patient care.
