Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation Nurse

Provide specialized rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from illness or injury in a dedicated rehab hospital setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and personalized patient care that promotes optimal recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans tailored to rehabilitation needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments such as Foley placements and bladder/bowel programs.
• Monitor patient progress using vital sign equipment and document findings accurately in the EMR system.
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medical devices, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapists to modify care plans based on patient response.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and unit policies, including certifications like FIM upon hire.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of current rehab or medical-surgical acute care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Meditech.
• Have BLS certification; CRRN certification preferred.
• Possess strong clinical skills, including IV management, EKG, and blood glucose monitoring.
• Exhibit a positive, energetic, and reliable attitude suitable for a fast-paced rehab environment.
