Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Travel Orthopedic Nurse

Provide specialized orthopedic care as a Travel RN in a high-acuity, magnet-designated hospital setting. Deliver patient-centered nursing services focused on orthopedic and spine surgeries while ensuring optimal outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive orthopedic patient care, including post-operative assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Utilize EMR systems to document patient progress, treatments, and procedures accurately.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, mobility, and pain management.
• Maintain strict adherence to unit protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices.
• Support smooth unit operations by assisting with patient flow and equipment management.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current Colorado state licensure.
• Minimum of 1-year recent orthopedic or med/surg RN experience in an acute care environment.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with orthopedic procedures such as total joint replacements and spine surgeries.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an energetic and empathetic approach.
