Key responsibilities of the RN – Ortho include:
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing orthopedic procedures, such as total joints and spine surgery
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize immobilizers, braces, and cold treatments as needed for patient care and recovery
- Manage patient ratios effectively, typically 5:1 RN
Requirements of the RN – Ortho include:
- Minimum 1-year current Ortho RN or M/S experience in an acute care setting
- BLS certification
- Ortho/Spine experience preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
