American Traveler is seeking an experienced BMT Oncology RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a CO or compact RN license, ONS certification, and at least 1 year of recent BMT oncology acute care experience.

• Work in the Med/Surg-Telemetry BMT Oncology unit of a hospital setting
• Unit houses 80-100 beds daily with a staff of 37 RNs (FT/PT/PRN)
• Day shift team includes 2 charge RNs, 1 resource RN, 2 MAs, and 16-19 RNs on patient assignments
• Patient ratio of 1:6, adjusted lower for higher acuity patients
• Performs chemotherapy administration and central line draws
• Uses Baxter IV pumps and ICU medical chemo adapters
• Charts using Meditech and Onco EMR systems
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of current BMT Oncology hospital acute care experience required
• BMT/Hem Onc experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care to BMT oncology patients including chemotherapy administration and central line management
• Facility is one of the 15 largest transplant centers in the nation, participating in multiple phase 1/first-in-human clinical trials with a growing CAR-T program
• Ideal candidates are outgoing, personable, and warm
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
