Travel RN - Telemetry - Intermediate Care

American at American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Care Unit Intermediate Care position requrequiring compact or CO RN licensure and ACLS/NIH certifications.

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact/CO) required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale, all valid through the assignment start date
• TNCC certification preferred
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty required
• EPIC charting experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Work in the Cardiovascular Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Intermediate Care (IMC) patient population
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• EPIC EMR charting used
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Perform health teaching and counseling for patients
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, or supervision
• Review and monitor treatment plans and document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards
• Returning staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
