We are seeking an experienced Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)/ED Observation Unit Family Nurse Practitioner to become part of our night team! You will work in collaboration with an ED physician at a Level 1 trauma center, while focusing on providing high quality, patient centered care.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage CDU patients
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Perform basic to advanced procedures as appropriate and required (LP, central line, chest tube, etc)
- Facilitate referrals, transfers, outpatient follow ups and admit to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- 2+ years previous experience as an APP in a hospitalist/inpatient or ED setting, 5+ years preferred
- Current Colorado Licensure or eligibility, active NP certification, DEA, ACLS, PALS and ATLS certifications
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to facilitate care with multiple specialties

Shift differentials for nights/weekends/holidays (as applicable).
Fast‑paced emergency department requiring frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing hands‑on procedures.
