Job Summary:
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, evaluating health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data, performing health teaching and counseling, and providing therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being.
The RN may also execute delegated medical functions, refer patients for further evaluation or treatment, review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Additional duties may include floating to other departments within scope and qualifications based on business needs and being placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN)
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as appropriate for unit or service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Certification as appropriate for unit or service
