Animal Urgent Care (AUC) is a group of 24/7 emergency and urgent care hospitals serving the greater Denver area. We are seeking a Medical Director to join our leadership team and help guide our growing multi-hospital group. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with a passion for clinical excellence, mentorship, and team development. You’ll partner closely with our Hospital Administrator to lead operations, uphold medical standards, and build a positive, inclusive culture across all our locations.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide medical leadership and ensure high standards of patient care
  • Mentor associate veterinarians and support staff across multiple sites
  • Collaborate on recruiting, budgeting, and strategic planning
  • Champion wellness and DEI efforts
  • Shape protocols and drive clinical quality improvements
What We’re Looking For
  • DVM or equivalent; eligible for Colorado licensure
  • 3+ years clinical experience (urgent care or ER preferred)
  • Previous leadership experience (formal or informal)
  • Strong communicator and team builder
  • Passion for mentorship and inclusive, community-centered care
