The Youth Camp Supervisor is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of an exciting, safe, and fun‑filled experience for participants in the Youth and Teen program. This position oversees the day‑to‑day work of adult staff who work with a specific age group of campers. This position works at our Seasonal Camps throughout the year. Supervisors are scheduled to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Staff cannot take more than five (5) days of unpaid time off during Camp.
Recreation staff have the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety of program participants. This position is classified as safety‑sensitive due to the nature of the work. Employees in this position may be subject to random drug testing and/or heightened supervision per the personnel policies and rules.
The availability of work hours for this position will be determined by these factors: program length, weather, and budget. The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate.

- Provide leadership to both staff and participants using the SPIRIT values of the City

- Assists in the planning and organizing of activities in the areas of crafts, sports, games, educational, special events, and field trips
- Provides a safe environment for the participants, and administers basic first aid
- Complies with licensing regulations and keeps current records of participants
- Helps to maintain equipment and supplies
- Attends weekly staff meetings
- Operates a City recreation van and/or golf cart
- Maintains regular and punctual submission of time sheets
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance
- May be required to provide additional assistance to children with special needs
- Incumbent is accountable for all duties of this job, and other projects and responsibilities may be added at the City’s discretion.
