About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join their Pharmaceutical Development team in Welkom . This role is essential for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceutical products through rigorous analytical testing and method development. You will be responsible for designing and validating analytical methods, characterizing drug substances and products, and contributing to regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of analytical techniques and their application in pharmaceutical quality control and development, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for drug substances and finished products according to ICH guidelines.
  • Perform stability studies and analyze samples to assess product quality over time.
  • Characterize impurities and degradation products using advanced analytical techniques.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, and FTIR.
  • Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation issues to ensure data reliability.
  • Prepare comprehensive analytical reports and contribute to regulatory documentation for drug submissions.
Requirements
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical development within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency with various chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC) and spectroscopic methods.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with method validation and transfer protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for this role in Welkom .
