Position: Laboratory Technician (Chemistry)

Overview

Within our Chemistry team located in Denver – Leprino is seeking a Lab Tech III, Chemistry to move our organization to even larger levels of cheese and dairy ingredient growth! We take pride in our vision to be "world's best", it is why we work harder, invest more, and continually innovate.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $28 and $32
. This position has an annual target bonus of 3.5%.

What You’ll Do
  • Support our Chemistry Department by assisting with daily lab testing to ensure data accuracy and reliable results.
  • Prepare chemical solutions, standards, and reagents to help our team maintain precise testing processes.
  • Record and enter sample and test data into laboratory systems, ensuring accuracy and clear documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace by washing glassware, restocking supplies, and keeping instruments in good condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself and your teammates while handling laboratory materials.
  • Receive and manage incoming samples efficiently so testing timelines stay on track.
  • Participate in collaborative proficiency testing and prepare samples for shipment to partner labs.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory inventory by ordering and organizing supplies as needed.
  • Support process improvements by sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues on new approaches!
  • Contribute to the Chemistry and GRDQ teams as a dependable resource who ensures our work meets Leprino’s high standards of quality and care.
  • You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry principles to safely perform lab procedures and measurements.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as pipettes, balances, and analytical instruments.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools—including Word, Excel, and Outlook—to record and organize test data.
  • The ability to follow written procedures carefully and consistently to ensure accurate results.
  • A team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal communication skills to support collaborative lab work.
  • Availability to work on-site in Denver, Colorado.
  • We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
  • An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, or a closely related field.
  • Prior experience working in a chemistry or food science laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and standard laboratory safety procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to support multiple testing projects efficiently.
  • Experience preparing solutions, reagents, and chemical standards with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
  • A genuine interest in continuous learning and improving laboratory processes—your curiosity makes our science better!
