What You Will Be Doing

As a FLEXShift Quality Assurance Tech at our milk plant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Your duties will include conducting inspections of raw materials, monitoring production processes, and performing various tests to verify compliance with quality standards. You'll also be tasked with documenting findings, reporting any issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will play a crucial role in improving our reputation for delivering top‑quality milk products to our customers.

The position will be based in Denver, CO.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products.
  • Perform regular inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and document equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address any quality‑related issues promptly.
  • Evaluate trends from test results and communicate these trends to employees and management.
  • Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food Safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed.
  • Record and analyze data and prepare reports on quality metrics. Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained.
  • Drive continuous improvement, assist in the discipline to maintain a 6‑S rating of an “A”.
  • Follow‑up customer complaints and follow‑up with production.
  • Implement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of Safeway quality standards and ensure that the product(s) are within specification.
  • Other required projects assigned by management.
What we are searching for
  • Bachelor’s degree preferable. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food production is preferred.
  • Strong mindfulness and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Flexibility to work the specified shift and occasionally on weekends if required.
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to multi‑task in fast‑paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in windows‑based PC programs.
