$25 - $28 per hour
Purpose and GoalsPerforms product and processes audits and serves as Subject Matter Expert for quality-related items. Supervises the daily work assignments of quality team members. Assigns tasks, monitors the completion of the tasks and reports task completion to QA Manager. Completes and distributes daily quality reports. Designs and implements training for QA Techs and for company employees outside of the quality department.
Responsibilities- Reviews work schedules for all QA Techs.
- Addresses all safety issues noted during prior shift or previous day.
- Leads daily quality team meetings.
- Checks previous days open items from each QA Tech.
- Addresses any problems with product from prior shift.
- Provides directions to QA Techs.
- Directs and provides on‑going training to QA Techs.
- Conducts safety and quality training.
- Completes all required paperwork.
- Monitors status of manufacturing orders/lines.
- Assists managers in executing any task requested.
- Continuously performs quality control tasks: visually inspects windows and doors for imperfections, ensures that rejected material is quarantined until reclaimed or disposed, process audits.
- Other duties as assigned
- 3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance
- 1 year of experience in Leadership in a manufacturing setting
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Practice in problem‑solving skills and tools.
- Ability to report and explain machine problems to the appropriate person or suggest a solution.
- Ability to routinely and accurately record and report measurement and quality control data as required.
- Ability to utilize a computer database.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks according to production requirements.
- Ability to train other employees in window quality procedures.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments for quality checks.
- Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations.
- Must be able to read production paperwork, safety warning labels, and signs; must be able to verbally communicate with coworkers, other leads, and supervisors regarding the production process and safety‑related information.
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, physically demonstrated, or diagrammed form.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
- Extensive knowledge of the window manufacturing process.
- Extensive knowledge of windows machinery, ability to detect problems.
