Strong foundational knowledge of manual testing principles, including test case design, types of testing (functional, regression, API, performance), and defect management
Technical skill to write, run, and maintain automated test scripts (Playwright, Type Script, Java, k6, MCP, AI-assisted testing, and others)
Proficiency in using developer tools, reading error logs, and tracing the source of an issue to provide detailed information to developers (Google Dev Tools, application logs, HTTP requests/responses, stack traces, heap dumps, etc.)
Proficiency in translating high-level business and functional requirements into detailed, efficient, and comprehensive test cases
Knowledge of industry-wide quality assurance measures, testing standards, and current best practices
Knowledge of identifying potential quality risks, assessing their impact and likelihood, and formulating effective mitigation strategies
Ability to be proactive in identifying potential issues early in the development lifecycle rather than reactively finding them later
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with software engineers, system personnel, and management
Ability to adapt to new challenges, pivot strategies when data suggests a different path, and remain resilient in the face of setbacks
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met
Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product
Identify and remedy defects within the production process
Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved
Compile and analyze statistical data
Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process
Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
Investigate customer complaints and product issues
Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
Attend meetings and training as required
