Quality Assurance Specialist - Electrical Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer with experience in overseeing the construction of conveyor systems to join our team as a Quality Assurance Specialist. This role focuses on supporting quality assurance and compliance efforts for a large-scale airport baggage handling system project. The position entails conducting field inspections, preparing quality reports, and coordinating with engineering, construction, and operations teams. The role is crucial for verifying construction work against permit drawings and regulatory requirements, documenting compliance, and tracking corrective actions.
Responsibilities- Monitor conveyor assembly, electrical controls, and system interfaces.
- Track corrective actions through follow-up inspections.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams for inspections, mock-ups, and system walk-throughs.
- Verify that structural assemblies, conveyors, catwalks, platforms, step-overs, and connections match permit drawings and approved submittals.
- Cross-check and record all conveyor assembly components received on-site.
- Attend day-shift and night-shift inspections, preparing Quality Reports.
- Participate in quality follow-up walks with airport QA inspectors.
- Support mock-up documentation for conveyor system electrical and control device installations.
- Track and document progress on open electrical and mechanical issues.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with extensive electrical experience.
- Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing environments, or airport conveyance systems.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes, Quality Management principles, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a strong plus.
This position offers a small, relaxed professional team environment with a high level of independence and autonomy. The typical work schedule is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with four days on-site and Fridays remote, although occasional on-site work may be required on Fridays. The project is expected to last through 2028, with a strong likelihood of continued employment beyond project completion.
Work includes access to a golf cart for transportation within the airport's lower levels, and parking is available. The role involves shadowing field activities, supporting quality assessments, and preparing quality documentation.
This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
