Work Unit:
The Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Evaluation Program (CDEEP), located in the Center for Health and Environmental Data (CHED). The program provides surveillance, epidemiology, and evaluation support to CDPHE programs, primarily those in the Prevention Services Division. The program provides managers, policy makers, and other decision makers with population and programmatic data to help direct programs and policies to the appropriate geographies and demographics, and evaluate program efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
Data collection, analysis, and dissemination of population surveillance data support monitoring population and health trends and measuring progress toward state and local public health goals. This position reports to the CDEEP Evaluation Unit Supervisor.
Provide evaluation services to CDPHE’s public health and environmental programs. Offer technical assistance in defining program goals and objectives; plan and design evaluation research methodologies to assess needs, aid in program improvement, demonstrate accountability, effectiveness, or impact, and inform programmatic decisions. Assess statistical reliability and validity of measurement instruments, develop new tools as needed, and conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses of quantitative data sets.
Employ qualitative research methods such as surveys, focus groups, and key informant interviews. Convene partners to plan evaluations, discuss progress, share findings, and discuss implications for program operations and future evaluation needs. Collaborate with internal and external partners to negotiate timelines, methods, and deliverables, documenting agreements in written scopes of work.

STATISTICAL ANALYST II I1B2XX
– fully‑operational level of statistical analysis.
- Six (6) years of professional experience in statistical analysis and/or evaluation.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in program evaluation, public health, sociology, anthropology, psychology, epidemiology, or a closely related field, and two (2) years of experience leading applied research or program evaluation projects, including evaluation planning, partner engagement, methods design, development of data collection tools, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and reporting.
