** As a Lead Cook (Buffet) at MGM Northfield Park, you will play a vital role in the operations of your assigned kitchen stations, setting the stage for an exceptional guest experience with your warm smile and dedicated service. ** THE STARTING RATE: $20.70*
* ** THE DAY-TO-DAY:
*** Communicate effectively with management, chefs, and service staff to address any guest or employee needs and ensure smooth operations.
* Notify the Room Chef or Sous Chef of any problems that arise and detail how they have been resolved to maintain quality service.
* Expedite and coordinate service, ensuring production aligns with par levels and guest expectations.
* Operate various kitchen stations, including sauté, sauce, grill, cold seafood, pastry, and appetizers, while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
* Adhere to proper food handling techniques and health and safety standards, while maintaining a solid understanding of menu items, recipes, and preparation techniques, including the creation of base sauces, stocks, and soups.
** THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
*** High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
* Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
