Back up Receiver

The Backup Receiver is responsible for all functions and paperwork related to receiving goods. This position operates machinery including baler, compactor, and forklift in a safe and proper manner. You are also responsible for maximizing sales potential through effective procedures for receiving products entering the store. Maintain cleanliness of the receiving area. • Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Report any receiving discrepancies to Managers and Buyers to rectify problems, examine contents, compare with records, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
• Attend applicable trainings and be able to use or be certified in the use of appropriate equipment; comply with procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with team members, Store leadership, and service vendors
• Ability to move/transfer product weighing up to 60 lbs., up to 30 feet, for up to 30 hours without mechanical assistance
• Must use pallet jack to transfer product weighing up to 1000 lbs., up to 150 feet for up to 40 hours
• Vision required for reviewing invoices and monitoring incoming product
• Basic math, ability to multi-task, understand proper retail receiving, and basic computer knowledge
• Other duties as needed

The pay range for this position is $19.70 - $26.57 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
