Store Asset Protection

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction / investigations
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure all employees follow policies and procedures
• Maintain the employee entrance, where applicable
• Keep track of all packages delivered through the employee entrance, excluding normal scheduled shipments
• Conduct store physical security checks and make recommendations to prevent loss
• Perform figure‑8 patrols throughout the store
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit with courteous and professional interaction with customers
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of retail loss prevention experience
• Basic understanding of retail or security
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed by the business
• Ability to stand and walk the sales floor for 8 hours at a time
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs
• Regular time and attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to work independently
• Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas

Pay: $22.29 per hour
