About the role

As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. In addition to cashier duties, you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally referred to as a Front End Team Member, you will report to the store management team.

Responsibilities
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification and payment handling.
  • Promote the loyalty program and bag products.
  • Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing them about products and services.
  • Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
  • Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol.
  • Complete cross‑functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1‑3 years of work experience; 1+ year in a retail setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Team‑player mindset and passion for best‑in‑class customer service.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements
  • Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8‑10 hours a day.
  • Safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
  • Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly.
  • May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions.
