Position: Smartwool/icebreaker: Visual Merchandising Coordinator

Responsibilities
  • Drive branded visual merchandising executions across the AMER region for both Smartwool and icebreaker.
  • Support the development and regional localization of global visual merchandising strategies for retail, wholesale, and other branded environments such as trade shows, pop‑ups, and events.
  • Translate product strategies and campaign concepts into visual guidelines, floor‑sets, and merchandising tools for stores and partners.
  • Assist in seasonal floor‑set planning, showroom/tradeshow setups, and miscellaneous branded environments.
  • Coordinate rollout of visual updates, ensuring alignment with brand campaigns and go‑to‑market timelines.
  • Lead the design, development, and rollout of window displays, in‑store graphics, signage, and seasonal visual merchandising directives.
  • Create and maintain visual merchandising guidelines, playbooks, and planograms for retail and wholesale stores.
  • Coach and train store teams on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
  • Support store openings, relocations, and updates to ensure operational excellence and brand alignment.
  • Conduct store audits, gather feedback, track compliance with visual standards, and report on findings.
  • Design, develop, and produce regional fixtures, POS displays, and graphic signage in partnership with the Wholesale Marketing Manager.
  • Optimize product placement, storytelling, and consumer engagement at points of sale.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Sales, and Retail teams to deliver visual assets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage timelines, calendars, and deliverables for visual merchandising projects and seasonal launches.
  • Track samples, fixtures, and visual asset inventory, and coordinate vendor logistics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in visual merchandising within retail and/or wholesale environments.
  • Strong ability to design, develop, and execute visual merchandising strategies, including principles, planograms, and floor‑sets using IWD or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Experience creating images and videos, preferably with AI tools (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of retail dynamics and the consumer shopping experience across retail, wholesale, and trade shows.
  • Strong eye for design, color, spatial merchandising, and ability to balance creativity with commercial impact.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • High level of adaptability, resourcefulness, ownership, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Will travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional weekend or off‑business‑hour events.
  • Passion for the outdoors and alignment with brand values.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual base salary: $57,888.00 – $72,360.00 USD.
  • Eligible for an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other standard VF Corporation benefit programs.
