: $21.75 USD per hour. Position:
Target Security Specialist – part of Assets Protection (AP). The AP team protects guests, team members and brand by mitigating shortages, preventing theft/fraud and responding to crises.

• Use intelligence‑led tactics to keep team members and guests safe.
• Respond to crisis events, provide crowd management and support both guests and team.
• De‑escalate situations while applying physical security controls.
• Operate Target’s video surveillance system and document incidents in the case management system.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support.
• Perform merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and shortages.
• Promote a security culture and maintain safe standards throughout the store and exterior property.
• Assist peers, maintain a positive workplace and comply with safety policies.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners and use technology equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to manage workload, prioritize tasks and remain focused in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift/lower merchandise up to 40 pounds and move around the store for the duration of a shift.
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping periods.
• Adherence to all state or local licensure and legal requirements related to the position.
