Job Description

This position supports sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floor covering store and coordinates installation through independent contractors to service wholesale floor covering customers. In this role, you will assist in scheduling installations and ensure installation is conducted consistent with expectations. The individual will work at Store #7385, 3841 Paris St Unit B, Denver, CO .

Because the role involves contact with customers, may include minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, a criminal background review is required to protect the safety of the Company’s customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

Responsibilities
  • Support the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams floor covering store, servicing wholesale customers.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in developing and implementing floor covering installation plans to assist in meeting the store’s budgeted sales and profit goals.
  • Assist Sherwin-Williams sales representatives in field measurements, including cut sheets, seam diagrams, and product specifications.
  • Ensure all customer orders are accurately measured and cut.
  • Perform on-site inspections of installations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all installer transactions are handled properly through the store computer operating system and records are properly maintained.
  • Determine floor covering installation training needs and provide training as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Have previous work experience selling floor covering and/or floor covering products.
  • Have previous work experience installing floor covering.
  • Have the Carpet and Vinyl Installation Certification by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
